A 41-year-old Florida mother, Rhonda Paulynice, has been arrested after authorities say she killed her 6-year-old son during what she believed was an exorcism. Deputies visited her home for a welfare check after the boy, Ra’Myl Pierre, had been absent from school for weeks. When questioned, Paulynice acted strangely and showed no emotion. She led officers to her son’s bedroom, where he was found dead, wrapped in fabric.
Investigators say the body may have been covered to hide signs of trauma. Paulynice allegedly told police that God instructed her to “exorcise demons” from the child, and that after his death, she was “waiting for him to come back.”
The mother is now facing charges of second-degree murder, failing to report a death, and tampering with a body. The investigation continues as authorities await final autopsy results.
